Gaming armchairs are certainly a saturated market, but when we talk about quality and ergonomics, the circle narrows to a few valid alternatives. Razer also dives into this segment with its Iskur, certainly not one of the cheapest chairs, but whose best hand is played on quality and postural correctness .

Unboxing and first impressions
The assembly procedure is probably one of the simplest we
have had the opportunity to experiment. Like Secretlab , Razer has also opted
for a particularly generous "booklet" of instructions, a poster of
almost one square meter perfectly legible even from a distance, accompanied by
extremely clear images. The steps to be performed in any case are very few, as
the chair arrives already partially assembled.
We had the opportunity to try the total black variant, very
elegant and very captivating while remaining relatively sober once placed in a
living context . Everything about this chair exudes quality, starting from the
wheels, extremely fluid and silent, applied on a very solid and sturdy
reinforced metal base.
Experience
Of Use
This chair is devoted to support, so don't expect it to sink
. The main peculiarity compared to competitors, however, lies in the pneumatic
adjustment system of the lumbar support. No preset shots or memory foam
cushions : using a button on the bottom of the seat it will be possible to
finely adjust the width of this particular support in order to best meet the
needs of each user, with a particularly generous excursion. A beautiful
implementation that, however, hides some negative aspects. First of all, the
button is placed in a position that does not allow us to adjust it "while
seated". It is therefore necessary to lean, losing part of theimmediacy of
adjustment and then proceed by trial and error.
Secondly, the padding of the panel is slightly stiffer than
one might expect, but nothing to compromise its use. From an aesthetic point of
view, nothing to complain and the scaled texture fits perfectly into the
context of the chair, otherwise very regular. Beautiful also the play of
shadows that is created with the rest of the chair.
The armrests are normal. Adjustable in depth, diagonal,
height and width, they allow us to customize the posture in a precise and, if
necessary, even asymmetrical way. The inclination is adjustable both on the
backrest and on the seat. The backrest in particular allows a fine adjustment
using the side knob, very similar to what has already been seen on other
armchairs of the same range.
The seat is adjusted by means of an inclination system
equipped with suspension , adjustable in its stiffness for a more precise
excursion, lockable at the desired level or it can be used freely, with a
particularly relaxing "rocking".
Razer does not recommend using it horizontally , but in the
usual tests we were able to experience that it is a very sturdy armchair in all
conditions and also at particularly angles and with a very displaced center of
gravity, it still manages to remain planted on the ground, giving back a
feeling of unmatched safety .
The small memory foam pillowit is designed for long-term
comfort. We have found that it does not tend to accumulate heat and sweat the
neck even after intense gaming sessions, while maintaining a good level of
general comfort.
The seat is, as already mentioned, particularly rigid, but
it is still comfortable. In fact, even after several hours, the chair is still
very comfortable and the enveloping backrest is designed to increase comfort,
constituting a real added value. Finally, a hint on the materials. While the
choice of synthetic leather may make some people turn up their noses, the
coating adopted by Razer is very durable, thanks to a multi-level system that
should allow it to last over time. The plastics on the other hand, in some
parts, could be improved and above all the side covers of the back did not seem
too much in line with the quality of the surrounding materials. In general,
however, the intrinsic value of this chair is perfect for its cost. Razer Iskur
is available in two colors, the more traditional black / green combination and
a particularly aggressive total black look.
